Candidates – Temp or Perm?
Whether you’re a graduate seeking your first permanent job, or a seasoned Temp who prefers the flexibility of working with different people in different locations, CITYside is the right choice for you. We will insist on meeting you at least once. If necessary we can arrange to meet you at the weekend by appointment. At this meeting you will be asked to provide some identification such as a passport or driving licence, you will then be asked to complete a short application form. Part of this form comprises a very brief spelling, literacy and numeracy test.
If you’re applying for a specific job that requires, for example, copy typing at 65+ wpm, we may ask that you take a short test, or provide some recent proof from a verified source, that you have this ability.
We will then discuss your requirements in some detail.
In order to ascertain the best course of action we may need to ask some searching questions, but we will never be offensive. You only have to tell us what you’re comfortable with, in most cases, the more you tell us, the better we’ll be able to help.
Although coming to register with CITYside is not meant to be as formal as going for an interview with a prospective employer, your attitude to this process can have a profound effect on how much or how little we are then subsequently able to help.
